Muscle needed for space walk video
Black Label Movement needs muscle for "space walk" video on July 13th and 14th. We are making a video proposal arguing why dancers should be the first artists to go to space. It will be serious and a little campy, but all around awesome. We did a test shoot in April now will be filming the actual video.

We will pay each person involved $60 and feed you lunch both days. We are shooting at the Lab Theater in the warehouse district from 10 AM until 6 PM. We likely need you the whole time, but if you can only make one of the days and are still interested, let us know!

Groups of people will be clumped together and lifting one individual at a time, mosh pit style. There will be some tossing of these individuals, so if you consider yourself to have decent upper body strength, we'd love to have you. Email us as blacklabelmovement@gmail.com. Let us know in the email if you have black pants and a black long sleeve shirt that you'd be willing to use for the shoot. If you don't, tell us what your sizes is. Looking forward to hearing from you!!!

Blue Earth Reader Workshops for playwrights
The BERW is announcing dates for its fall and winter workshops. The workshops are open to playwrights seeking to hear their scripts read aloud. BERW coordinates with local actors to serve as readers. The BERW serves as ‘unskilled’ dramaturg. There is no cost to the writer but that said, the writer is requested to bring a ‘light breakfast’ for the actors.

    Workshop Dates:
    August 13 & 27
    Sept 10 & 24
    Oct 8 & 22
    Nov 5 & 19
    Dec 10

The workshops are held at the Emy Frentz Guild in Mankato. Workshops begin promptly at 9am and conclude at noon. Interested playwrights should send a sample of their script, character list and two preferred workshop dates. All workshops are dependent on finding actors available for the readings. Visit our website for contact information and directions.

Southern Theater stage and offices for rent
The Southern Theater in Minneapolis has gone through a lot of changes recently but we are very excited to say that the building remains open and we are booking for the 2011-2012 calendar year! We are so grateful to the dance and performing arts community for their financial and emotional support over these last few months. Without you we will not remain open.

Our aim is to provide access to artists and companies on our stage; but time is booking up FAST. The Southern is available for rehearsals, performances, events and gatherings; has partial and full day as well as full week rentals.

Please contact Damon Runnals, General Manager, at 612.340.0155 x 310 or damon@southerntheater.org to discuss details.
