Developing Your Individual Giving Program

Learn the fundamentals of developing and implementing an individual giving program in this fast-paced two-hour workshop on the art and the science of raising money from individuals.
In this session, you will learn the following:
• Fundamentals of the Fundraising Cycle which includes planning, prospecting and segmenting, cultivating, soliciting and stewardship.
• Techniques to put the joy into – and take the fear out of -- asking for support in face to face meetings. You will learn a few tools, discuss actual phrases, and do some role playing.
• The role of communications in the fundraising process and ways to articulate your message and the strongest case for support.

Presenter Biography
For over 22 years, Ms. Gaynor has worked with arts organizations helping them achieve their development goals and fulfill their visions. From 2007 to 2015, Ms. Gaynor led her own consulting business focused on providing non-profit organizations results-driven fundraising programs and practices to support their missions, particularly in the areas of individual giving and board development.

Prior to starting her own consulting business, Ms. Gaynor served in a staff capacity at the Minnesota Orchestra and the Minnesota Opera for a total of 15 years. During that time, she served as the Orchestra’s Director of Individual Giving, Campaign Director for the Orchestra’s $55 million capital/endowment campaign, and as the Annual Fund Manager for the Minnesota Opera. She is currently the Director of Development for the St. Croix River Association.

Ms. Gaynor is a passionate arts and conservation advocate and has a commitment to articulating their vital role and their need for support.
